Location:
Capo d’Uomo is located on the Western side of the Monte Argentario, fifteen minutes from Porto Santo Stefano, and in the next bay to Cala Piccola. The local provincial city of Grosseto is served by the Rome-Pisa mainline train, while the Argentario is served by the Orbetello-Monte Argentario station (in the summer this is served by high-speed trains too). The closest airports are Rome Fiumicino (1hr 30 mins) and Pisa (2hrs 15 mins). Santo Stefano is linked by bus to Orbetello, however we would highly recommend hiring a rental car (please see Map). We can arrange airport and station pick-ups with prior notice.
Directions:
On coming off at either Orbetello or Albinia from the Rome-Pisa Via Aurelia dual carriage-way (on maps the E80), head towards Porto Santo Stefano. As you come to Santo Stefano, you go straight over the first and second round-abouts, and then head up into the hill for about 5 minutes along Via del Campone. Once you reach the crest of the hill, you’ll come across a right turning, sign posted Cala Piccola. Take this right turn, and after 200 metres you’ll see a sign on your left with Poderi di Capo d’Uomo. Take this turning and head all the way until you see the sign for Capo d’Uomo.
Camilla Grimaldi
Camilla Grimaldi was born in Rome and also lives in London, and has built up Capo d’ Uomo estate, along the Western Coast of the Argentario, into a beautiful and chic oasis of vineyards, olive groves and properties.
Camilla spends most of the time in London as an art dealer, but visits Capo d’ Uomo frequently.
